Our main goal is to provide information about eczema and its treatment to both patients, families and their doctors, and to increase public awareness of eczema in society in general.
Originally The Canadian Eczema Society for Education & Research, which eventually became The Eczema Society of Canada, was founded in 1997 by Aileen Menezes as a result of the collaboration of Dr. Bernice Krafchik,The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, and concerned parents in response to the need for greater education to deal with this challenging and misunderstood skin disease. Dr. Bernice Krafchik’s groundbreaking work and advocacy of bathing and emollient therapy has made eczema possible to control!
We thank all of our contributors, volunteers, and sponsors for their commitment to helping those who suffer with eczema.
There is no cure, but there can be control!
